The Challenge

A former Nike VP approached our team at the end of May with a bold request: build a robust football analytics mobile app for Field Vision Sports in time for the upcoming season on September 1. The tight four-month window meant we had to rapidly design, develop, and test a cutting-edge product that could unite AI-driven predictions, advanced metrics, and real-time data—all while ensuring the product was stable and market-ready for paying subscribers.



Discovery

After deconstructing Field Vision’s vision, it became clear that they needed:

  1. Live analytics and real-time metrics that could handle the pace of NFL action.

  2. A React Native front-end to accelerate development across both iOS and Android.

  3. A seamless, user-friendly interface for football fans, coaches, and analysts.

  4. A fully operational product in just four months—a compressed schedule that demanded disciplined sprints, iterative prototyping, and close collaboration with the client.



The Solution

Rapid React Native Development

We leveraged React Native for cross-platform consistency, ensuring that both Android and iOS users could quickly access real-time, AI-powered stats on their devices.

Scalable Architecture & Data Integration

Our developers integrated an API that streams advanced and basic player metrics, instantly updating fans and professionals on relevant stats. We tightly coupled this with user authentication, subscriptions, and in-app purchases, ensuring a streamlined experience despite heavy, real-time data loads.

Collaborative Approach & Agile Delivery

By focusing on weekly sprint cycles and consistent check-ins, we worked side-by-side with Field Vision. Swift iteration allowed us to launch a robust MVP, then refine and scale based on beta feedback—right up to the season’s kickoff.



The Result

On-Time Launch

Despite starting in late May, the app successfully launched before the NFL season, allowing Field Vision to capture the excitement of opening weekend.

Immediate Market Validation

The application garnered over 900 paid subscribers in the first two weeks, demonstrating a strong demand for Field Vision’s advanced analytics.

Following the successful launch, we transitioned the project to a dedicated support team, ensuring long-term maintainability and continued updates throughout the season.
